*NEWS FROM IRAQ - February 12, 2009

Officers Jim Ramos and Matt Peery are on the final segment of their tour of duty in the middle east. Both are Special Agents assigned to the US Army's Criminal Investigations Division (CID) as criminal investigators.

Ramos is currently stationed at Camp Bucca in Southern Iraq where the temperature reaches 120 degrees. His Area of Responsiblity includes the Theater Internment Facility (which holds 18,000 detainees) as well as the Operating Base itself.

Peery is also stationed in Iraq, at CID Command, and has traveled all over Iraq and Africa on various criminal investigations that usually involve deaths and theft. He has worked closely with the Iraqi police, the Iraqi army, and coalition troops.

Both officers miss their families and look forward to coming home. Patriotism, dedication, and community service are what drives these men, and their personal sacrifices do not go unnoticed. The men and women of the BPOA are proud to work alongside these heroes and look forward to their safe return home.
